The lange 1, which started 15 years ago, is the leading line of A. Lange & Sohne. The first Lange watch, with large date and asymmetric dial layout, was the most popular Lange watches at that time. It gave birth to a signature style of the brand which influenced many Lange watches. Besides, Lange 1 became one of the watch models that received most awards in watch-making history. And in 2003 the the Grand Lange 1 watch joined the Lange family, which greatly delight Lange fans whol loved large-size watches. Besides the 41.9mm case, the Grand Lange 1 actually kept all features of the previou Lange 1 watch.

This year, A Lange & Sohne proudly releases the new-designed Grand Lange 1 “Luminous” watch. Why it has “Luminous” in the name? It is because it features hands and hour marker that grow brightly in the evening on the black dial. Made from solid silver, the dial sports excellent legibility even in the darkness thanks to the sufficient Superluminova application on the rhodiumed gold hands and markers. The 42mm case is crafted from white gold.

Beating inside the Grand Lange 1 “Luminous” watch is the L901.2 calibre, an accurate hand wound mechanical movement by Lange. Composed of 365 individual parts, this movement is assembled and decorated by hand and represent the highest movement quality standard of Lange.
It has been euipped with the brand’s iconic design and technical features. It has three-quarter plate made from raw German Silver, screwed gold chatons, the patented procision index adjuster, the twin mainspring barrel and the over-sized display. Besides, the movement sports 72-hour power reserve.

The Grand Lange 1 “Luminous” watch is completed by a black crocodile leather strap with a white gold buckle.
